the great divergence

Published just over twenty years ago, Kenneth Pomeranz's The Great Divergence continues to shape scholarship and debate in global history just as much as in economic history.  As part of his 2023 Global History Astor visit, this lunchtime workshop will discuss the impact and legacy of this work.  Postgraduate students are particularly encouraged to attend.

Lunch will be provided: free, but registration is required.
