Political Economy and Culture in Global History reading group meetings

Following on from its activities last term, the Political Economy and Culture in Global History Reading Group is pleased to host three more meetings during Hilary Term 2021. Meetings will take place on Tuesdays via Zoom, see dates/times below. The reading group is co-convened by the Global History of Capitalism project's Andrew Edwards, Juan Neves-Sarriegui (Oxford),and Peter Hill (Northumbria)

Tues 23 February, 5-6pm GMT: William Clarence-Smith (SOAS), Manufacturing in the ‘Third World’, 1840s-1940s 

Tues 9 March, 5-6pm GMT: Jeremy Adelman, Ecology and the commons
